I picked up a pocket planner at the flea market a few months ago, and am finally working on customising and getting it set up. I’ve decided to use it as my binder for all my Parents’ Association information (I’m the Treasurer!). My first step was to make some cute dividers and get rid of the flimsy paper ones that came with it. I made two different kinds of dividers.
Make Dividers for your Planner from Patterned Paper
Supplies needed
- Original dividers that came with the planner
- Patterned Scrapbooking papers ( I like to use double sided ones)
- Pencil
- Precision scissors
- Hole punch
- Laminating machiner & laminating pouches (optional)
Step 1
Place the original dividers on your patterned paper, and trace around them with a pencil
Step 2
Cut them out using your scissors, and erase the pencil marks.Place in laminating pouch.
If you’re not laminating your dividers, skip to Stap
Step 3
Run the pouch through the laminating machine, and once cool, cut out the dividers
be sure to leave about 1/8 inch all around to ensure that plastic doesn’t come apart.
Step 4
Use the original divider to mark holes, and then punch.
Because of the double sided paper, the backs are cute too!
And that’s it!
What tricks do you use to customise your planners?
