April is Full of Creativity.

April is Full of Creativity.

It must be the improving weather (although quite frankly it is not as nice as I would like it to be!), but it’s getting all kinds of creative in the OCB studio this month. It also helps that I have two weeks vacation! Here’s what’s keeping me busy this month.

The 100 Day Project

I think this is my fifth year giving this project a go. The first couple years I didn’t complete the 100 days, but I did in 2016 and 2017. This year I am taking on an ambitious project: 100 Days of Zines! I have been fascinated with making since since taking the short zine class at Creativebug, and this project is the perfect opportunity to explore more. Paper crafting is my first love so it’s a natural fit, plus I will be using other art skills along the way. I’m officially 11 for 11 with the project, and am more excited about it every day. Here’s a box full of zine and handmade book goodness.

Here’s a peek at today’s zine.

You can see all my zines close up and follow my project on Instagram.

This week I am working on Show Me Your Florals, which is a 7-Day watercolour challenge. I did it last year too, but it was during travel time, so I tackled it again as I am off work this week. It’s a really fun way to practise watercolour skills, plus learn some new techniques.

I’m also dipping into 30 Days of Florals with Pam Garrison at Creativebug. I’m not doing this every day, just the days that I feel inspired and have some extra time.

There are lots of techniques to explore!

As always I’m also doing other continuing projects like knitting and crochet, as well as scrapbooking.

What are you working on this month?
