Since the start of my bullet journal journey I have been notoriously bad at keeping up with trackers. After trying them every month for a while, and failing miserably, I just stopped using them. But now that I am almost six years into bullet journaling, I realised that I needed to make my trackers work for me, and track things that made sense to me instead of trying to copy what others were tracking. My approach is to use it to see where I’m spending my time, and if I am actually doing the things that I want to do every day. So this is what my monthly tracker looks like now.

Each image represents and activity related to hobbies, work, or self care that I want to get a better handle on how often I am doing them. As you can see some columns remained completely blank last month. I decided to take them out of the tracker for now, and figure out a way to build those habits over the next few months.
Here is my tracker for February

Here’s what I’m tracking:
- Blogging every day for the Ultimate Blog Challenge. Yes! I will be writing a blog post every day this month, so keep an eye out for this. It’s been a couple of years since I’ve done a blog every day challenge. I’m excited!
- My daily tweet with a favourite quote. Follow me here.
- Newsletter sent
- Post in Facebook Group
- Read
- Knit
- Crochet
- Art
- Sew
- DIY/craft
- Photo with DSLR
- Early bedtime
I also have some separate trackers for a few other projects.

I’m using this fun tracker from Karen Abend as I try to develop a consistent sketchbook habit.

This is for tracking The 100 Day Project which started on Sunday. I actually need to fill in the first two days! You can follow my project here.

And finally my reading log as I make my way towards my reading goal of 70 books.
Phew! I think I need to lie down! What things do you track?
Thanks for this! I love the up to down way and using only dots, makes it much easier to stay on top off. Also, I love your serene palette choice. Great read, thanks!
Thank you! Using just a dot makes it easy to keep up!
WOW! You have a LOT going on!! I admire you for your ambitious plans. Hope it all goes smoothly!
Yeah, I’m crazy. I went through an extremely dormant period during our confinements last year, so I guess I am making up for it now!
I love the way you are sharing your intention as you explain how you keep track of everything. Sharing for sharing.
Thank you!
It’s a great idea to track what you’re doing and how you improve upon what you want/need to add/take away. Thank you for sharing!
It’s been very helpful for me to see how I am really using my time. And which things matter.
I have my computers track what I do on them. But, I lack the patience (and time) to track everything I do during the day. That’s exactly why I have computers.
I tried a number of different apps or online services, but old school paper works for me. I am mainly trying to make sure that every day along with work, I am also doing the things I love 🙂
Right now, I’m tracking Weight Watchers points which is no fun. I need to find some more enjoyable things to track which is why I started this challenge. Writing and reading will be my fun things – and maybe walks around my neighborhood. I need more fresh air and less cabin fever. Thanks for posting!
I really enjoyed this – I love to journal and I do try to draw a little every day but don’t always make it. I like to paint and have a couple of other projects as well. I don’t know about reading 70 books in a year but I will start that many for sure. I meditate daily but I need to track that as well because have the time I only get one instead of the two I plan. Your tracking system is going to be used by me, thank you for sharing all the ideas. I look forward to following you this month.
These are just way too cool. What great ideas.
Love your bullet journal example ….and the photos you included.
