Tuesday Tip | Re-sizing Journal Cards for Planners

Tuesday Tip | Re-sizing Journal Cards for Planners

Aren’t those cards great? Can you tell that they are tiny journal cards? I like using my 3 x 4 and 4  x6 journal cards in my planner, but sometimes they are just too big. So I decided to try playing with my printer to see if I could print them out smaller. I’m happy to say that it worked!

To make them smaller, I simply opened up the letter sized PDF, hit print, and when the printer dialog came up, I chose Multiple and 2 on a page. You can see a screen shot below

Then I printed them out onto my favourite cardstock. After printing the first page I carefully noted which section of the page got printed on, then put the sheet back in the correct way and printed out another page.

After cutting them out they are all ready to use in my planner!

The 3 x 4 cards now measure 2 x 2&1/4 and the 4 x 6 cards measure 2&1/2 x 3&3/4. I just love the versatility of printables, don’t you? I bet I could get a variety of sizes printed out, simply by playing with the scaling function on my printer.
